Dillard University’s education buildings, residence halls and student union are situated on a 57 acre site, a large portion of which was underdeveloped and under-utilized. Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects developed a Master Plan/Campus Plan and Campus Facilities Assessment. As a result of job performance, Sizeler Thompson Brown was contracted for renovations, new construction and extensive site infrastructure improvements on the numerous campus buildings. Throughout the project, it was necessary to take the historic context of the existing facilities into account and determine ways to upgrade the buildings to adhere to Life Safety standards while making them functional, efficient and attractive. - Square Footage: 57 acres
