The 20,000 SF Main Library Branch combines community activities with normal library functions. In the south Louisiana vernacular, the library creates an open atmosphere with its expansive ceilings and outdoor porches and decks for reading. Natural lighting fills the entire building, enforcing a strong connection between the interior and exterior. STBA is now working on a new addition to the main library along with some existing building upgrades and renovations.
